Book 2 follows on from The Adventures of the Gadget Gizmos, and continues the story of the eight children. The weeks are hot in the summer holidays, and the children are invited to one of the coolest pools! But then Lily is kidnapped, regardless of Paul's desperate tries to stop the evil Celix Corporation. The Mystery is at full blast as the Gadget Gizmos build a space-ship from some old designs that Copper finds. Together they try and save Lily, but it all ends up in one massive Space Chase.
